The Maori Pioneer Battalion - Writing

This is my google poster I created using google draw. The task was to You are one of the 500 men in the Maori Contingent. You boarded the the troop ship ‘Te Hokowhitu-a-tu’ in February 1915. Describe on a page in your diary how you felt hearing the words “Haere e tama ma. Haere me te whakaaro ki te pupuri i te rongo toa a o tatou tipuna. Kia wehi ki whakaaro kite pupuri i te rongo toa a o tatou tipuna. Kia wehiki te Atua. Whakahonoretia te kingi.” (“Farewell, young men. Go and uphold the name of our warrior ancestors. Fear God. And honour the king.”) as you set sail for Egypt. I wrote this in Maori to make it more realistic and effective, along with the background to make it seem as if it's a page out of a book/diary.
